Manchester Airport is at junction 5 on the M56 motorway. Local roads are the A5103 and the A34.

There are taxi ranks on the forecourts outside the terminals. Journey time to central Manchester is around 30 minutes.

The Skylink moving walkway links the terminals with the Rail Station.

Direct services from the airport station run to Manchester Piccadilly, London Euston and and Birmingham.

The Manchester Piccadilly service has six trains each hour (four on Sundays) plus a limited overnight service. Journey time to Piccadilly is 15-20 minutes.

Bus services are available from the airport to many parts of the country. The bus station is adjacent to the train station. The Skylink moving walkway links the terminals with the bus station.

Departures for Manchester city centre are every 10 minutes with a journey time under an hour.
