Getting to/from the Airport by Train

London Stansted Airport has a high speed rail service direct to central London - the Stansted Express. There are also routes serving locations around the UK.

The Stansted Express provides a frequent high speed service between London Liverpool Street station and Stansted Airport.

Trains run every 15-30 minutes throughout the day, with a journey time of about 50 minutes.

The first Stansted Express train leaves Liverpool Street station at 03:40 on Monday, Friday and Saturday, and 04:40 the rest of the week. The last train departs at 23:25 (11.25pm).

The first train leaves Stansted Airport at 05:30, except Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday when the first departure is 06:00. The last train departs at 00:30 (12.30am).

The one way fare is currently £21.90, return/round trip £34.60, although online bookings can be cheaper.

Tickets must be purchased prior to boarding the train. Payment may be made by cash or credit card at the station.
